Tips & Picks for Humid Seasons

We’ve all been there—you step outside looking fresh and flawless, and within minutes the humidity has your makeup sliding right off. I know how frustrating that can be, especially during monsoon season when the air feels heavy and unpredictable. The good news is, with a few of my go-to tricks and the right products, your makeup can stay put and look beautiful all day.

Here’s how I keep my clients (and myself!) monsoon-ready.

1. Start with the Right Primer

Makeup that lasts always begins with a good base. In humid weather, I never skip a mattifying or gripping primer. It keeps shine under control and gives your foundation something to hold onto. Think of it as your makeup insurance policy.

2. Light Layers Are Your Best Friend

Heavy foundation and humidity don’t mix well. I always recommend using a lightweight foundation, BB cream, or even a tinted moisturiser. Apply thin layers and only add extra coverage where it’s needed. Your skin feels lighter, and your makeup won’t break down as quickly.

3. Waterproof Everything

If there’s one rule I swear by in monsoon season, it’s this: go waterproof. Mascara, eyeliner, even brow gels—switching to waterproof formulas is the difference between staying polished or walking around with smudges.

4. Set It and Forget It (Almost!)

To stop foundation and concealer from sliding, I always finish with a translucent setting powder, especially on the T-zone. During the day, blotting papers are a lifesaver. They soak up excess oil without messing up your base, and a mini compact powder is perfect for touch-ups.

5. Carry a Quick-Fix Kit

I always tell my brides and clients to keep a little kit with them. My essentials? Blotting papers, a compact powder, and a travel-size setting spray. They’re small but make all the difference when you’re on the go.

My Pro Tip

"Always set cream blush with a matching powder blush to lock it in place for humid days. This layering trick keeps your glow fresh and in place—even in the stickiest weather."

My Monsoon Makeup Must-Haves

Final Thoughts from Me

The monsoon might be unpredictable, but your makeup doesn’t have to be. With the right prep and a few clever tricks, you can enjoy the season without worrying about your look. Remember—humidity may try to dull your shine, but with the right products, your glow will always win. 💕
